We have been tricked into wars, time and time again. Yet the republican warmongers are cheer leading for another endless war to keep the bomb makers, missile manufacturers and aircraft makers, richer than ever.
As usual, we punish the people of the target country with sanctions, blockades and unwanted regime change attempts while the media assures us we are saving a failing country.
Storm clouds on the horizon
The fact that Venezuela and Iran happen to have 2 of the largest oil reserves on the planet is hardly mentioned. I wonder why?
In case you missed it last Sunday, the Strawberry moon and Jupiter
Meanwhile, the Senate majority leader made it clear that they, (republicans), have done enough for those ungrateful black people who expect reparations for something that happened before they were born. Besides, didn’t they let a black American be president?
A pretty rose grows along the driveway
Breathe, Phil. Deep cleansing, calming, refreshing breathing to clean out the bad and let in the good. Ahhhhhh. That’s better.
Last night the waning moon was joined by Saturn, (won’t fit in this pic).
Redding is entering the Summer, when it will likely be hot. For now we have low 100’s in the day time and a cool 80 deep in the night, (It is Redding so all temperatures here are expressed in Fahrenheit).
Tuesday night was good for seeing Jupiter’s visible moons.
On Sunday night, our Moon was so close to Jupiter, that I couldn’t figure out how to set the camera so that Jupiter’s moon dots didn’t become dashes as the Earth turned during exposures.
However, if you look closely at Jupiter in the earlier image of the Strawberry moon and Jupiter, 4 moons are strung to the left of the white dot that is the planet. The extra moon is Ganymede.
Leila’s lilies are blooming.
There is so much more to write and rant about, but it will have to wait for the next installment. The uncertainty of sanity returning to this world should be taken in small doses. Think of the little rants as a vaccine to help regulate this nightmare of living in a world gone mad.
Me and part of our 6 piece jam band
The blues band for which I write some songs, play guitar and sing, (The 1st Set Jammers), will be playing again on the second Sunday in July at Lulu’s.
Last Sunday we played the first set, as per our name, and I was happy to welcome back Derral Campbell our sax player. He missed our previous performance due to a case of Poison Oak.
I wrote a new song to welcome him back titled, “Poison Oak It Ain’t No Joke”. The song turned out to be a keeper. I will try to record a respectable version to add here in the not too distant future.
