And Reservoirs, Too
Ducks, geese, gulls and pigeons on the Sacramento river
Park Marina Boulevard became part of the Sacramento river on Sunday, February 12. Flooded streets and high water levels continued today, Wednesday, as additional rain arrives.
Another look at Park Marina Boulevard
I was able to find plenty of caption-able sights to photograph, so tonight I have a few images with captions for you.
Taking a stroll along the boulevard
Water going under the bridge
Walking, swimming, flying and dancing in the street
Beneath the tree in the center is a sculpture of 2 boys.
Here, in this closeup they look like they are surfing
The spillway at Keswick dam
The Keswick reservoir is located a mile or so below Shasta dam and provides additional regulation of the water entering the Sacramento river. It was my intention to continue on up to get pictures of Shasta dam on Sunday to complete the collection, but Keswick dam road is washed out and I didn’t have time for the long detour to Shasta.
So, I went on Tuesday instead. Those pictures will be on the next post, most likely.
