For a few skin softening, subcutaneous cyst erasing years, I used soap from Burt’s Bees (RIP Burt), but the northern California stores no longer carry Burt’s Bees soaps or shampoos. “Something about big companies” or “New distributors”, are the most common response when I ask why there isn’t any Burt’s on the soap and shampoo shelves.
So, I have been experimenting with other brands of organic, natural, or just local soaps.
One of them had rose petals and black tea ash clumps in it. It seemed okay except for all the bits of black stuff that got all over the washcloth, shower curtain and bathtub.
The latest is one that I think I will stick with. It is made by the Clear Creek Soap Co right here in Shasta county. The one I chose is the cinnamon, orange, clove handcrafted artisan soap, (as printed on their recycled paper, hand affixed label/wrapper).
It works and it is local. That’s my favorite kind of most things, when possible.
Thanks for reading this, I hope I have done some good and I look forward to writing more affirmative and possibly helpful posts on this blog.
